Cookie Policy
Herae uses very few cookies, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies at all. This page explains exactly what we store in your browser and why.
No ad tech. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, or any third-party tracking cookies. What little we store exists only to keep you logged in and to make the app work.
1. What we store in your browser
Local storage (not cookies)
Herae keeps your login token and a few preferences in your browser's local storage, which is scoped to the Herae site and never sent to other websites:
- Authentication token — a signed token that keeps you logged in so you don't have to sign in on every page.
- Preferences — small UI settings.
Essential cookie
herae_auth_hint— a single non-sensitive flag (value "1") set only onherae.appdomains. It is not your login token and carries no personal data. Its only job is to let the marketing landing page know a signed-in visitor should be sent straight to the app rather than shown the pitch again. It expires after a year and you can clear it any time by logging out or clearing site data.
2. What we do NOT use
- Advertising cookies.
- Cross-site tracking or "fingerprinting" cookies.
- Third-party analytics cookies. (Our product analytics are first-party and server-side — see the Privacy Policy.)
- Social media "like button" trackers embedded on our pages.
3. Managing what's stored
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser's settings, or by logging out of Herae (which clears the auth token and the herae_auth_hint cookie). Because these items are essential to signing in, clearing them will log you out.
4. Changes
If we ever introduce additional cookies, we'll update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
