DMCA & Copyright Policy

Herae respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright and how we respond, consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.

Important context. Herae does not host, stream, or rebroadcast third-party video. It syncs playback of video that already lives on other websites. This policy applies to user-created content stored on Herae — Moments (photo collages and short clips), captions, reviews, comments, and profile pictures.

1. Reporting infringement (takedown notice)

If you're a copyright owner (or authorized agent) and believe content on Herae infringes your rights, send a written notice to legal@herae.app including:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
The specific URL(s) or a clear description letting us locate the allegedly infringing material on Herae.
Your name, address, phone number, and email.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

2. What we do

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the identified material and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted it.

3. Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to legal@herae.app including:

Your signature.
Identification of the removed material and where it appeared.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction of the appropriate court (and acceptance of service from the complaining party).

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the timeframe the law provides.

4. Repeat infringers

We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

5. Misuse
