Content Removal & Takedown Policy
Most content on Herae is private and controlled directly by the people who made it. This policy covers how you can remove your own content, how you can ask us to remove content that affects you, and how we handle those requests.
1. Remove your own content — instantly
You don't need to ask us for your own content. In the app you can, at any time:
- Delete a Moment — this removes its database record, its stored image and video files, and its likes and comments.
- Delete a review or comment you wrote.
- Change a Moment's privacy between private, contacts-only, and public.
- Remove your profile picture or a contact.
- Delete your entire account — see the Account Deletion Policy.
Because a Moment belongs to the people who were in it, either participant can delete it.
2. Ask us to remove content about you
If content on Herae involves you and you want it removed — for example a public Moment that includes you, was shared without your consent, or exposes private information — email support@herae.app with:
- A link to the content (or enough detail for us to find it).
- Why you're asking for removal (e.g. it's about you and shared without consent, it exposes personal information, it breaks our Community Guidelines).
- Your relationship to the content, so we can verify.
3. Priority categories
We act fastest on:
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Content that endangers a child.
- Doxxing or exposure of private personal information.
- Credible threats or targeted harassment.
- Impersonation.
4. Copyright
For copyright-specific claims, please use the dedicated process in our DMCA & Copyright Policy.
5. How we respond
We review requests, may ask for more information to verify them, and remove content that violates our policies or the law. Where appropriate and lawful, we'll let the person who posted the content know. We may decline requests that are unfounded or abusive.
